No. Auto Records works fully offline with no account and no sign-up. Add your vehicles, log services, track odometer readings, and set reminders straight away. Everything stays on your iPhone.
An account is only needed if you want cloud sync.
Open the app and tap to add a vehicle. A nickname is the only thing required. Year, make, model, VIN, licence plate, and a photo are all optional, and you can fill them in later.
Yes. The app can import a CSV file of existing maintenance records, so you don't have to retype years of history. Look for the CSV import option when viewing a vehicle.
You set a schedule per item, either recurring (every so many kilometres or months) or a one-off milestone at a specific odometer reading. The app works out what's due from your logged readings and reminds you.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. You'll need to allow notifications when the app asks.
Cloud sync. Your vehicles, service history, odometer readings, schedules, and photos are backed up and kept in step across your devices. Without it, the app is still fully usable, but your records live only on the one device.
Monthly and annual plans are available. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought the subscription with, then use Restore Purchases in the app's settings. Then sign in to your Auto Records account to pull your records down.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel from there. Your records stay on your device after a subscription ends.
Check that you're signed in to your Auto Records account, that your subscription is active, and that the device has a working connection. Sync runs automatically after you make changes and when you reopen the app.
If it's still stuck, email us and mention roughly when you last saw a successful sync.
It's off by default. When you turn it on, Auto Records asks for Face ID or Touch ID once per session before it uses your saved cloud account.
It protects the cloud account session only. Your local vehicles, service history, and odometer readings are always readable without a prompt, whatever this setting is.
Everything already on your device stays there and stays usable. Sync stops, so new changes are no longer backed up or carried to your other devices.
Deleting a vehicle or a record in the app removes it from the device, and if sync is on, the deletion is carried to the cloud too.
To remove everything from the cloud, delete your account from the app's account settings, or email us. Deleting the account permanently removes all of your synced records and photos.
Nothing, unless you turn on cloud sync. There's no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising in the app at all. The privacy policy lists exactly what's stored and what isn't.
